Ahh the “…..ing Syndrome”
As the year is rapidly winding down to a close, I wanted to wish you all good luck & good health as life invariably seems to get more and more hectic. I also wanted to talk about a few of things that are happening here at Transitions Chiropractic, so please check out the links at the end of the newsletter to see what is going on.
There is this idea that I have heard before called beware of the “….ing Syndrome.” One of my all-time favourite analogies is that life is like a blender– you throw your work, family, exercise, social and even religious commitments in the blender. Initially when the blender starts the consistency is a bit of a mess. After giving the blender some time, the contents of the blender start to mix really well together and ideally start to make a really delicious concoction (life). At this time of year however, I feel like the consistency of our blender constantly changes as we are continuously adding more & more things to what we are doing.
We are shopping, spending, drinking, partying, socialising, wrapping, exercising, dieting, holidaying, finalising etc. We are always doing something and as much as I love the busy time of year, it doesn’t matter what the stressor is but it is still a stress. Take care of yourself & your family this upcoming holiday season. When you are ready get checked and adjusted to help your body deal with the stressors & strains of the coming “….ing syndrome!”
Our Christmas tree. To help celebrate just how grateful we are for some of the magic that has happened this year and to spread the joy & celebration of Christmas, we are having a giving tree. Throughout December we will have a Christmas tree in reception and we will gladly be collecting any and all gifts and presents that we will then donate to The Salvation Army. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
Our exercise room. In wondering what we were going to do with all of our beautiful office space we decided to set up a small exercise room here at Transitions Chiropractic. No it is not a fully fledged gym or anything like that, but we certainly appreciate how exercise and movement can help your body work and function at its best. Likewise it can certainly help your body hold its adjustments. If you are at all interested in trying to improve your movement patterns or the way you move, let us know and we would love to help!
Christmas colouring in competition! Please for the littles- we want to make our office as bright and bubbly as possible over the next few weeks. There will absolutely be a prize awarded early in January for the best entry received (as judged by our in house Christmas elf- Cain).
Happy Holidays,
James Staciwa
